… in Myanmar that builds PV systems for off-grid (island) use. We visit some of their projects on (literally) islands. Fishing villages now suddenly have electricity, can switch off their diesel generator and thus save money. Techno-Hill uses very high-quality materials and techniques. They also meet the high demands of the World Bank, which co-finances the projects on the islands. They come to Phaya Taung and quote for a backup system for the hydropower plant. They can get started and build a 5 kW system in March 2020, which ensures that the Phaya Taung diesel generator will probably never be used again.
Work on this project will start in April 2020.
