The boarding school of Phaya Taung

A remote place in Myanmar, Phaya Taung has a boarding school for over 1,100 orphans, poor children and children from one-parent families aged between 4 and 17 years. The school belongs to the Buddhist monastery Phaya Taung, where 140 monks and volunteers take care of the care and training. This is made possible through donations and the local community. Have a look at daily life at the monastry and school.

Conditions and facilities can still be improved a lot. With your help we also contribute to this. Follow our efforts for Phaya Taung on Facebook. We work together with our English partner The Inle Trust.
